As a Green Technology Chemist you are part of the global R&D organization of Stahl; you are located at the headquarters in Waalwijk.  You have a pioneering role and it is your job to scope, develop, initiate and catalyze sustainable projects within global R&D. The topic of sustainability is broad, but reoccurring `keywords´ are: biobased materials, emission reduction and the replacement of toxic chemicals and processes.  As Green Technology Chemist you are creative, passionate for organic synthesis, proactive and a king/queen of multitasking.  Connecting with other sustainable pioneers means that you need to have good social skills and are not afraid to present in groups. 

 Functional demands:

  • Minimum of a Bachelor’s degree (B.A. or B.S.) in (Polymer or Organic ) Chemistry or Material Science from a four-year college or university, or equivalent combination of education and experience
  • Passion for Synthesis
  • Hands on mentality;
  • Excellent communication skills
  • Creative
  • Driven toward innovation and continuous improvement
  • Excel in and enjoy problem solving
  • Good knowledge of the English language (both verbal and in writing)
  • R&D experience in the coating industry is a clear advantage
